Driving directions from Florence or Milan:

Take the A1 (Autostrada del sole) exit at Valdarno (about ½ hour's drive after Florence ). Turn right out of the toll booth and at the big round about follow signs for Terranuova. Then follow the signs for Loro Ciuffenna. When you are in Loro Ciuffenna (about 15 minutes from the motorway exit) you will find a round circle, turn right in the second road on your right. Turn left, before the bridge which crosses the village, into a small square. At the end of the square you'll see an arch and the sign of the Residence

From Rome:
