Calzalunga is an enchanting green valley along the river Milia, at the base of the rocky promontory of Piombino, opposite the isle of Elba.
From here stretches Montioni Park, a protected oasis of 6.000 hectares, created as part of a project for land conservation: here it is possible to follow different wildlife itineraries and watch free animals such as deers, wild boars, foxes, tortoises and squirrels.
At the end of this valley lies the holiday farm "Calzalunga", an old house, dating back to 1800, which has been faithfully restored. It is overlooked by the old mansion where Napoleon's sister lived.

It’s an excellent area for cycling on mountain bike, hiking, horse-riding, in absence of car traffic.
