The castle is a typical example of a fortified village right in the heart of Tuscany a few km away from Siena, San Gimignano, Colle di Val d'Elsa and Castellina in Chianti.

From Northern Italy (Milan), exit on A1 Highway at Firenze Certosa and follow directions to Siena.
Proceed on the freeway till the exit of Monteriggioni.
Turn right and follow directions to Monteriggioni; after the "Bar dell'Orso", proceed for 3 km about and take your left at the first cross.
Proceed till you don't arrive to the Castle's wall, enter inside, proceed on this square and following the road for about 50 meters, passing by Hotel Monteriggioni, and you will arrive straight into the Square I° Maggio.

From South (Rome), exit on A1 at Valdichiana and proceed in direction Siena.
Arrived in Siena, take TANGENZIALE (the city freeway) in direction Firenze.
Proceed on the freeway till the exit of Monteriggioni.
Turn left and follow directions to Monteriggioni; after the "Bar dell'Orso", proceed for 3 km about and take your left at the first cross.
Proceed till you don't arrive to the Castle's wall, enter inside, proceed on this square and following the road for about 50 meters, passing by Hotel Monteriggioni, and you will arrive straight into the Square I° Maggio.
