Hotel Cestelli is situated in a 12th century palace, which was the home of Bishop Altoviti and, later during the 16th century, housed the studio of a relative of Lorenzo il Magnifico, Cosimo II dei Medici.
His illustrious presence is, in fact, still today commemorated with a bust on the facade of the building.
