If you want uncover treasures of Pistoia, but also stay a stone's throw from them, to appreciate all things, the Hotel Leon Bianco is in a privileged location. It is on a central street, Via Panciatichi, (Panciatichi were an ancien family of nobles florentines) and it looks onto Piazzetta del Sole, where we have a good view of the tower of the cathedral. The palace is of the fifteenth century, and it was always an hotel with differents names like “Sword's Hotel” (1382), “Sun's Hotel” (at the end of sixteenth century). A “Inn of red lion” is quoted in a famous tourist guide (Tigri 1853). During the eighteenth century it accomodated celebrities and also sovereigns. Up till now the Hotel accomodate many tourists, celebrities that spend few days in Pistoia, actors of theatre, artists and musicians. Recently restored, is welcoming and friendly, suitable for who make a business trip and also for who want to pass an holiday with his family in a peaceful area and to enjoy of many events that there are in Piazza del Duomo and in the historical centre.
