Presentation
Guiscardo Palace takes its name from the founder of the town of Pietrasanta, Guiscardo Pietrasanta, who in 1255, as the authority of Lucca, gave his own insignia of nobility to the medieval village.
Palazzo Guiscardo is located in an original Liberty style building, that dates back to the 1800s. During the transformation into a hotel, we have been careful to respect it’s original style, in order to preserve and highlight the elements of the period.
The hotel is situated in Pietrasanta, an important cultural centre in Versilia. The artisan tradition has been kept alive by local workshops and atelier and by many bronze foundries. The artistic context has functioned as catalyst for many Italian and foreign artist who have chosen Pietrasanta as their privileged location.
The nearby Marina has a fine sandy beach stretching for about five kms with a transparent blue sea whose depth degrades sweetly.
The Palace’s entrance has been furnished, with the concept of appearing like a noble Palace rather then like the hall of a hotel.
The furniture of the end of century, introduces to a living room, the “homish” atmosphere, helped by comfortable sofas capitonnés, delimiting the reading zone, enriched by furnitures and abat jours of antique dealings. A table of the end 1800's divides this zone from the one used for small breakfasts and tea-Time.
